Srinagar: In a major security exercise, Jammu and Kashmir Police, in coordination with the CRPF and other security agencies (OCAPs), on Tuesday carried out a massive door-to-door search operation, commonly known as a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO), in the Noor Bagh–Rathpora area of Srinagar. The operation was launched amid heightened security measures to ensure the maintenance of law and order and to thwart any potential security threats. During the CASO, security personnel thoroughly checked residential premises and verified the credentials of residents while maintaining strict vigil across the area. Officials said such proactive measures are part of routine security preparedness aimed at safeguarding public safety and preventing any untoward incidents. The operation was conducted in a systematic manner, and no immediate adverse incident was reported till the filing of this report.
