Spl Story;Acute Staff Shortage Hampers Studies at Govt Higher Secondary School Neel in JK's Ramban, request LG to intervene  Slug-2909ZS_RBN_SCHOOL_STAF_R By Raja Rehber Jamal  Location-Ramban  Anchor: Students of Government Higher Secondary School Neel in District Ramban have expressed deep concern over the acute shortage of teaching and other staff in the institution, appealing to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and the Education Minister to intervene and address the issue on priority.   According to DDC Councillor Bashir Ahmed, out of 28 sanctioned posts in the school, only 11 are currently filled while 17 remain vacant. He urged the administration to take immediate steps to fill the vacancies, ensuring that the future of poor and meritorious students is not compromised.   Senior Lecturer and Incharge Principal of the institution, Javed Ahmed, while admitting the shortage of manpower, said that the school staff is trying their best to manage classes on their own despite the challenges.    It is notable that around 450 students are enrolled in the school from Neel and its adjoining areas, as it's the only Higher Secondary institution catering to the maximum population of this area.   Students also made a heartfelt appeal to the LG and the Education Minister, stressing that their future is at stake due to the unavailability of adequate staff.
