Pulwama, Aug 13: Hockey players in Pulwama have voiced serious concern over the absence of essential amenities at the hockey turf in Pulwama, which they say is hampering their training. Players from different parts of the district, who gather here daily for practice, complained that the facility lacks toilets, drinking water, and proper changing rooms. They said the absence of such basic infrastructure forces them to face inconvenience during practice sessions, especially for female players who find it difficult to manage without changing facilities. “We come from far-off places to train here, but the lack of even drinking water and washroom facilities makes it tough to focus on the game,” a player said. They appealed to the concerned department to take immediate action and provide the required amenities so that the turf can serve as a proper training ground and help in nurturing local hockey talent.
