Anantnag: Residents of Deva Colony in Janglatmandi, Anantnag, held a protest against the persistent power crisis in their area. According to locals, the transformer installed in their locality has not been upgraded for the past 40 years. They said the outdated transformer fails to handle the current load, leading to frequent electricity disruptions, especially during the harsh winter months when demand rises sharply. Protesters urged the authorities to immediately replace the decades-old transformer and ensure a stable power supply. They appealed to the administration to take prompt action so their long-standing issues can be resolved without further delay.
