Jammu Kashmir National Conference Senior leader Hasnain Masoodi termed it unfortunate to remove certain chapters from the syllabus at University of Jammu, saying such moves raise concerns about academic integrity. Masoodi said that universities are higher seats of learning where research, history, and foundational knowledge should be discussed comprehensively. “Universities are meant to promote critical thinking and informed debate. If we undo history, the coming generations will receive less information,” he said. He stressed that academic institutions must preserve historical content to ensure students gain a complete and balanced understanding of the past.
