Entrepreneurship Mela organised in Bhaderwah under Mission YUVA to promote self-employment among youth\nBy Raja Rehber Jamal\nLocation-Bhaderwah\nAnchor:To promote entrepreneurship and create awareness among youth about self-employment opportunities, a one-day Entrepreneurship Mela under Mission YUVA was organised at Community Hall Bhaderwah in Doda district. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, Self Help Groups and aspiring entrepreneurs.\nVO:The mela was organised with the aim of encouraging youth to explore self-employment opportunities and to provide information about various government schemes and financial assistance available for starting new ventures.\nDifferent government departments set up stalls showcasing start-up potential in sectors such as agriculture, horticulture, handicrafts, handloom and cooperatives. Successful entrepreneurs and members of Self Help Groups also displayed their products and shared their experiences to inspire young participants.\nA large number of students and aspiring entrepreneurs visited the stalls and interacted with departmental officers and representatives of financial institutions to seek guidance regarding establishing their own enterprises.\nVO:The programme was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Roshan Lal, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sunil Kumar Bhutyal and Assistant Director Employment Nehal Pandit, along with officers from various line departments and representatives from banks and financial institutions.\nVO:Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC highlighted the importance of Mission YUVA in creating an enabling ecosystem for entrepreneurship and livelihood generation among youth. He called for coordinated efforts by government departments and financial institutions to support aspiring entrepreneurs.\nVO:The ADC encouraged youth to take advantage of government schemes promoting self-employment and skill development, stating that entrepreneurship can play a vital role in generating employment and strengthening the local economy.\nAnchor:The organisers said that the mela provided a common platform for departments, financial institutions and youth to interact and explore opportunities for establishing sustainable enterprises.
