MLA Anantnag West, Abdul Majid Larmi, has acknowledged the National Conference’s defeat in the Budgam bypoll, alleging that the loss resulted from a “conspiracy” in which multiple organisations joined hands against the party to favour the “Team B” candidate — a point that the BJP had also raised earlier. Larmi said the electoral outcome reflected coordinated efforts aimed at weakening the National Conference in the constituency. He also commented on senior National Conference leader Aga Ruhullah’s stance on the Budgam bypoll.
