A large number of party functionaries, legislators, and people from different walks of life called on Jammu Kashmir National Conference Party President Dr. Farooq Abdullah to express their good wishes following his close shave from a deadly assassination attempt. Party’s Vice President and Honourable Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was also present on the occassion. The visitors prayed for the longevity and good health of Dr. Farooq Abdullah and expressed hope that he would continue to lead the party and serve the people. Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that he was fine and that God had been kind to him. He urged the visitors to spread the message of unity among the people and cautioned them against elements attempting to create divisions in society.
