PS Cyber/NED ने साइबर फ्रॉड सिंडिकेट पकड़ा, ₹22 लाख के मामले में तीन गिरफ्तार

Online Cyber Fraud Syndicate Busted by PS Cyber/NED — Case Involving ₹22 Lakhs Approximately Solved, Three Arrested. A team of PS Cyber/North-East District has busted an online cyber fraud syndicate involved in a cheating case worth approximately ₹22 lakh. Three accused persons have been arrested from different locations. A total of 14 mobile phones, 20 SIM cards, 32 debit cards of various banks, and other incriminating documents have been recovered from their possession. On 01.10.2025, based on a complaint received from Rohit (32 years), S/o Brijpal, R/o Gokalpuri, Delhi, a case under Sections 308/318(4)/319/340 BNS was registered at PS Cyber/NED. The complainant reported that he had been cheated of ₹21.77 lakh through a fake online trading scheme. The accused persons, posing as representatives of a reputed financial services firm, lured the victim with promises of high returns. They added him to a WhatsApp group offering stock market tips and convinced him to invest in a “Direct Market Account” with bogus shares. Subsequently, they froze his funds and demanded additional money under the threat of forfeiting his entire investment. A team led by Insp. Rahul Kumar, SHO/Cyber PS/NE, comprising SI Nandan Singh, HCs Amit, Rohan, Amit Gahlawat, and Ct. Deepak, diligently worked on the case and gathered crucial evidence from multiple sources. Based on the collected intelligence, the team arrested two accused persons from the Sector-49 area and recovered 11 mobile phones, 17 SIM cards, 32 debit cards, and other documents from their possession. They were identified as: 1. Prabhat Vajpayee “Amanda” (22 years), S/o Subhash Vajpayee, R/o B-96, Lal Bagh, Loni, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. 2. Md. Abas Khan (24 years), S/o Md. Abdul Gaffar, R/o Keirao Makting Awang Leikai, Singjamei, Imphal East, Manipur. During interrogation, both accused admitted to their involvement in the crime and disclosed information about their associate. On their instance, raids were conducted, leading to the arrest of Arpit Mishra Professor (25 yrs), S/o Shyam Prakash, R/o Shiv Shankar Vihar, Jaipur, Rajasthan, from Siliguri, West Bengal. Three mobile phones along with SIM cards were recovered from his possession. During sustained interrogation, the accused revealed that they were inspired by an online fraud web series. Further investigation in the case is underway.
