Exchange of Fire with Wanted Criminals by Operation Cell, South-West District On 01.10.2025 at about 06:15 hrs, a team of Operation Cell, South-West District, led by Inspector Vijay Baliyan, In-charge Special Staff, acting on secret information, attempted to intercept two wanted and desperate criminals near Aruna Asaf Ali Road, Sanjay Van, Kishangarh. On being intercepted, the criminals opened fire at the police party while trying to escape. The police team, in self-defence, retaliated. During the exchange of fire, one criminal, Arman (26 years) R/o JJ Colony, Bawana sustained a gunshot injury on his right leg. He was immediately shifted to AIIMS Trauma Centre for treatment. The second accused, Basheer (24 years) R/o same address, was apprehended on the spot along with an illegal firearm and live cartridge. During the exchange of fire, one bullet fired by accused Arman hit the bulletproof jacket of a police personnel; however, no injury was reported. The Crime Team and FSL Team were called to the spot for inspection and evidence collection. Details of Accused: 1. Arman (26 years) – Injured; shifted to hospital. 2. Basheer (24 years) – Apprehended with illegal weapon. Both accused have a criminal history. Accused Arman has previously been involved in more than 50 cases of robbery, snatching, and under the Arms Act. Legal action is being initiated at PS Kishangarh.
