Facts of Palam Fire Incident: Today i.e. on 18.03.2026 at 07:04 hrs, information regarding a fire incident in a cloth shop located at Ram Market. Palam was received at PS Palam Village. On receipt of the call, SHO/PS Palam Village along with staff immediately rushed to the spot. The fire had broken out in a four-storey building situated at WZ-124A, Ram Chowk Market. The basement, ground floor & first floor housed a cloth & cosmetic showroom owned by Sh. Rajender Kashyap (Market Pradhan), while his family resided on the second and third floors. Rescue Efforts: A total of 10 persons have been rescued so far and shifted to nearby hospitals through ambulances. Casualties & Injured: - Manipal Hospital: 6 deceased persons namely Pravesh (Male, 35 yrs), Kamal (Male, 40 yrs), Ashu (Female, 32 yrs) and three minor girls aged 12 yrs. 6 yrs. and 5 yrs. - IGI Hospital: One female (approx. 38 yrs) declared brought dead; one male (approx. 40 yrs) and one girl (2 yrs) are under treatment. - Safdarjung Hospital: One male (19 yrs) admitted with approx. 25% burn injuries. Emergency Response: Around 20 fire tenders & 11 CATS Ambulances along with staff from BSES, Air Force Police and NDRF, reached the spot for firefighting and rescue efforts. The fire has been successfully doused after intensive firefighting and rescue operations. The FSL team has been called for inspection. All concerned agencies and local police are present at the spot. Casualties & Injured: Total 9 casualties and 3 injured. - Manipal Hospital: 8 deceased persons namely Pravesh (Male, 33 yrs), Kamal (Male, 39 yrs), Ashu (Female, 35 yrs), Lado (Female 70 yrs), Himanshi (Female 22 yrs) and three minor girls aged 15 yrs. 6 yrs. and 3 yrs. - IGI Hospital: One female Deepika (approx. 28 yrs) declared brought dead; one male Anil (approx. 32 yrs) and one girl (2 yrs) are under treatment. - Safdarjung Hospital: One male Sachin (29 yrs) admitted with approx. 25% burn injurie
