Doodhpathri and Rehhaar areas of Budgam district have received nearly four feet of fresh snowfall, bringing joy and excitement among residents, especially children and tourists. The heavy snow has turned the region into a winter wonderland. However, the snowfall has also created serious challenges for the local population. Electricity supply has been disrupted, drinking water shortages have been reported, and road connectivity was affected, causing inconvenience in daily life. Meanwhile, the district administration is fully on the job. Snow clearance operations are underway using modern snow cutters and machinery to restore road connectivity at the earliest. Officials are working round the clock to normalize essential services. The local people have expressed their gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner Budgam and SDM Khansahib for their timely intervention and effective response in managing the situation during this heavy snowfall.
