International Emmys 2025: Diljit Dosanjh nominated for Best Actor for 'Amar Singh Chamkila,' Imtiaz Ali's film also nominated Los Angeles [US], September 25 (ANI): Diljit Dosanjh has earned a place on the global stage with his first-ever nomination for the International Emmy Awards 2025. The nominations were announced on Thursday by the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The singer-actor has been shortlisted in the Best Performance by an Actor category for his role in the Netflix biographical drama 'Amar Singh Chamkila.' Dosanjh will compete against some of the world's most acclaimed talents. The 2025 International Emmy Best Actor nominees include David Mitchell for 'Ludwig,' Oriol Pla for 'Yo, Adicto (I, Addict),' and Diego Vasquez for 'One Hundred Years of Solitude.' Diljit's powerful performance as Chamkila has not only won praise from fans and critics but also secured him this historic Emmy nomination. The film has also received a nomination in the Best TV Movie/Mini-Series category, making it a double celebration for the team. Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film tells the story of Punjab's iconic folk singer Amar Singh Chamkila, often called the "Elvis of Punjab." Chamkila rose to fame in the 1980s for his bold songs and energetic performances, but his life was tragically cut short in 1988 when he and his wife, Amarjot Kaur, were killed at the age of 27. Released on Netflix in April 2024, Amar Singh Chamkila also stars Parineeti Chopra and was written by Imtiaz Ali and Sajid Ali. The film's live-recorded folk music and emotionally driven storytelling have been widely appreciated. Indian content has been steadily making its mark at the Emmys in recent years. Surat, Gujarat:એકર સુરતના લિંબાયત વિસ્તારમાં માનવ તસ્કરીનો એક અત્યંત ચોંકાવનારો અને દિલ દહોળી નાખે એવો કિસ્સો સામે આવ્યો છે. ગરીબ શ્રમજીવી પરિવારની 15 વર્ષીય સગીરાને નશાકારક પદાર્થો આપીને માત્ર 10 દિવસની અંદર બે વખત વેચવામાં આવી હતી અને બળજબરીપૂર્વક બે અલગ-અલગ લગ્ન કરાવવામાં આવ્યા હતા. આ સમગ્ર ગંદા ધંધાનો પર્દાફાશ થતાં પોલીસ હરકતમાં આવી ગઈ છે અને અત્યાર સુધીમાં ત્રણ આરોપીઓને ઝડપી પાડવામાં આવ્યા છે, જ્યારે ફરઝાના નામની મહિલા વોન્ટેડ છે. વિઓ.1 લિંબાયતના મીઠી ખાડી વિસ્તારમાં રહેતી આ સગીરાની માતા કેટરિંગમાં કામ કરે છે, જ્યારે પિતા લાંબા સમયથી બિમાર રહે છે. આ નબળાઈનો ફાયદો ઉઠાવી સગીરાની પડોશી નૂરી વસીમ શેખ, તેનો પતિ વસીમ (રિક્ષા ચાલક) અને ફરઝાના નામની મહિલા ત્રિપુટીએ સગીરાની માતાને લાલચ આપી હતી કે તેઓ દીકરીને લસકાણામાં કેટરિંગ કામે લઈ જશે. માતાને શંકા પણ ના આવી અને દીકરી થોડા દિવસમાં પાછી આવી જશે એ વિશ્વાસ સાથે મંજૂરી આપી દીધી.પરંતુ, હકીકતમાં આ એક ગોઠવાયેલું કાવતરું હતું.આરોપીઓએ સગીરાને લસકાણા લઈ જઈને શોએબ નામના વ્યક્તિ પાસે રાખી હતી. અહીં તેને દિનમાં બે થી ત્રણ વાર કોરેક્સ જેવી નશાકારક કફ સિરપ પીવડાવવામાં આવતી હતી, જેથી તે ભાનમાં રહી ના શકે. નશાની આ હાલતમાં જ આરોપીઓએ તેની ઇચ્છા વિરુદ્ધ શોએબ સાથે નિકાહ કરાવ્યો હતો અને બદલામાં 50 હજાર રૂપિયાનું સોડો કર્યો હતો.માત્ર 10 દિવસ પછી આ ટોળકીએ ફરીથી સગીરાને મહારાષ્ટ્રના સોલાપુર લઈ ગયા. અહીં "લગ્નમાં કેટરિંગ કામ છે" કહી બહાનું બનાવવામાં આવ્યું. વાસ્તવમાં, આરોપીઓએ સગીરાને એક યુવકને 2 લાખમાં વેચી નાખી હતી. અહીં તેના હિંદુ રીતિ-રિવાજ પ્રમાણે લગ્ન કરાવવામાં આવ્યા હતા. સગીરા 15 દિવસ સુધી ત્યાં રહી, દરમિયાન તેની સાથે દુષ્કમ આચરવામાં આવ્યું હતું.નશાની હાલતમાંથી થોડા સમય માટે બહાર નીકળી, સગીરાએ પોતાની માતાને ફોન કરીને મદદ માગી હતી.ફોન પર તેણે આક્રંદ કરી કહ્યું:"અમ્મી, મુજે સોલાપુર સે નિકાલો, મુજે ફરઝાના ને કિસી કો પૈસે લેકર બેચ દિયા હૈ."માતાએ તાત્કાલિક પડોશી નૂરી શેખનો સંપર્ક કર્યો અને દીકરીને પાછી લાવવાની વિનંતી કરી. અંતે, આરોપીઓએ દબાણને કારણે સગીરાને સુરત પાછી લાવીને છોડી દીધી અને ભાગી ગયા. ઘરે પરત ફર્યા પછી સગીરાએ આખી હકીકત માતાને જણાવી હતી.ઘટનાની ગંભીરતા સમજતા જ સગીરાની માતાએ પોલીસનો સંપર્ક કર્યો. કેસ અંગે જાણ થતાં જ ડીસીપી ડૉ. કાનન દેસાઈ લિંબાયત પોલીસ મથકે દોડી આવ્યા અને ઝડપી કાર્યવાહી કરવા આદેશ આપ્યા. પોલીસએ તાત્કાલિક નૂરી વસીમ શેખ સહિત ત્રણ આરોપીઓને ઝડપ્યા છે, જ્યારે ફરઝાના નામની મહિલા હજુ વોન્ટેડ છે આ બનાવે શહેરમાં ચકચાર મચાવી દીધી છે. કિશોરીઓ અને ગરીબ પરિવારોને લલચાવી નશાની પકડમાં લઈ માનવ તસ્કરીના ભોગ બનાવવાની પ્રવૃત્તિ સામે પોલીસ હવે કડક અભિયાન ચલાવશે એવી ચર્ચા છે. વોક થ્રુ..ચેતન

Ranchi, Jharkhand:रातू रोड RR sporting club में बने मां दुर्गा के पंडाल को ईसाइयों के धार्मिक शहर वेटिकन सिटी स्थित चर्च की तर्ज पर बनाया गया है। इस पंडाल का ना केवल बाहरी रंग-रूप उस सदियों पुराने चर्च के जैसा दिया गया है, बल्कि उसे अंदर से भी हूबहू चर्च की भांति बनाया गया है। RR sporting club के संरक्षक विक्की यादव ने कहा कि जो चित्रकला आप देख रहे हैं, वह ईसा मसीह से जुड़ी हुई है। ऊपर क्रॉस से जुड़ा एक दृश्य भी लगाया गया है, जिसको लेकर कुछ विवाद की बातें सामने आई हैं। लेकिन हमारी मंशा किसी भी धर्म को ठेस पहुँचाने की बिल्कुल नहीं है। हम तो बस एक प्रतीक प्रस्तुत करना चाहते थे और यह संदेश देना चाहते थे कि धर्म के नाम पर टिप्पणी करने की बजाय, हमें आपसी सद्भावना दिखानी चाहिए। भारत हमेशा से सर्वधर्म के रूप में जाना जाता है। अगर हमने दो धर्मों को जोड़ने का प्रयास किया है, तो इसमें विवाद की बात कहाँ है? आश्चर्य इस बात का है कि भारत जैसे देश में, जिसे सर्व धर्मों की विविधता के लिए जाना जाता है, इस पर भी विवाद खड़ा किया जा रहा है। RR Sporting Club की हमेशा से कोशिश रही है कि समाज को सकारात्मक संदेश मिले। इस बार भी हमारा प्रयास यही था—हिंदू और ईसाई धर्म को एक मंच पर जोड़ने का। यह हमारी एक छोटी सी पहल थी। बाइट: विक्की यादव, संरक्षक rr sporting club।

A Vijayawada bound private bus from Miyapur suddenly caught fire right under the SR Nagar Metro station. The alert driver stopped the bus in time and safely evacuated all passengers before the flames spread. Fire engines rushed to the spot and are working to bring the blaze under control. Dense smoke led to traffic snarls from Kukatpally to Panjagutta. No casualties have been reported so far. Further details are awaited.

During the course of his duty, two individuals riding on a two-wheeler (scooty), including the rider and the pillion rider, used abusive language against him without any provocation. When SI Suraj Pal Singh objected to their abusive behavior, the individuals became aggressive. They, along with some other unidentified persons present at the spot and assaulted him. Subsequently, the Police Control Room (PCR) was informed by a public person, and a PCR unit arrived at the SOC. In the meantime, other traffic staff also reached at the SOC. The two individuals Namely (1) Akbar Hussain S/o Mohd. Shamsher, age 30-35 yrs & (2) Salman S/o Ali Ser, age 30-35 yrs, who assaulted SI Suraj Pal Singh, were apprehended, while others managed to escape from SOC. A Medico-Legal Case (MLC) was conducted for the injured officer. Local police have initiated necessary legal action and are investigating the matter further. After receiving this information, SHO and IO/ASI Dinkar reached at place of incident where was a gathering of public and SI Suraj Pal and other traffic staff was also present. They produced two persons namely Salman S/o Mohd. Ali R/o KH No.140/12, Gali No.28, Sant Nagar, Burari, Delhi age 30 and Akbar Hussain S/o Mohd. Shamsher R/o C-73,Gali No.6, Chandu Nagar, Tukmeerpur, Bhajan Pura.,Delhi 26 years and SI Suraj Pal no. 414/T Timarpur Circle stated that he was deployed for VIP route arrangement duty at GT Karnal Road, near Wazirabad Bad Fly over in the side coming from Burari, Delhi. Two boys came on a scooty . SI signalled them to stop. Instead of stopping, they abused him and ran way towards Signature Bridge. SI chased them and succeeded in stopping them. As he stopped them. they started shouting over him. Several passerbies stopped there. Above two mentioned persons along with 2 other person started pushing SI Suraj Pal. Even they attacked him. In between, boys who were on scooty ran away. Traffic staff also produced video recording in which Salman pushed SI several times and also attacked his face by fist. There are several two wheelers visible in video recording. SI Suraj sustained injuries on face and body . In this whole incident, one lady has also been found involved. Other persons are being traced. SI Suraj Pal has been sent for medical examination. A case under the section of BNS for hindrance in official duty, causing hurt /injuries to government servant and other relevant sections are made out. Legal action is being taken. Arrested persons: 1. Salman S/o Md Ali R/o Kharsa no. 140/12 Gali no. 28 Sant Nagar Burari Age 30 year. (wearing black cap). 2. Akbar Hussain S/o Md. Ahmedabad, Gujarat:Slug : 2509ZK_LIVE_AHD_SOG_AROPIReporter : UDAY RANJAN Injgst Feed : 2509ZK_LIVE_AHD_SOG_AROPI Date : 25 - 09 - 2025 Format : PKG & WEB એન્કર : અમદાવાદ SOG એ 50 લાખના હાઇબ્રીડ ગાંજા સાથે બે યુવકોની ધરપકડ કરી છે ગાંજો આપનાર શખ્સ ની પોલીસે શોધખોળ શરૂ કરી છે ..... વીઓ-1અમદાવાદ SOG ની ગિરફ્ત માં ઉભેલા આ શખ્સો ના નામ છે પ્રતિક પ્રફુલ્લભાઇ કુમાવત અને રવિકુમાર જયસુખભાઇ પટેલ અમદાવાદ SOG એ આ બંને ની 50 લાખ ના હાઈબ્રીડ ગાંજા સાથે નિકોલના રખીયાલ ખાતેના પન્ના એસ્ટેટ ખાતે થી બંને ને 500 ગ્રામ હાઈબ્રીડ ગાંજા સાથે ઝડપી પાડયા છે જેમાં પ્રાથમિક પૂછપરછ કરતા સામે આવ્યું છે રવિ જયસુખ પટેલ ડ્રગ્સ લેવાની આદત છે નિકોલ ના એક પાનના ગલ્લા પર બંને વચ્ચે પરિચય થયો હતો અને ગાંજો લેવા માટે નું નક્કી કર્યું હતું બાઈટ : બી સી સોલંકી , એસીપી , SOG અમદાવાદ શહેર પોલીસ વીઓ-2 SOG ના હાથે પ્રતિક પ્રફુલ્લભાઇ કુમાવત અને રવિકુમાર જયસુખભાઇ પટેલ ની વધુ પૂછપરછ કરતા સામે આવ્યું છે કે આ રૂપિયા 50 લાખના હાઈબ્રીડ ગાંજો અમદાવાદ સપ્લાયર સહદેવ પાસે થી લીધો હતો અને જેના બદલા માં બંને ને 5 5 હજાર આપવાનું નક્કી કર્યું હતું ત્યારે SOG એ સહદેવ નામના શખ્સની શોધખોળ શરુ કરી છે ત્યારે SOG ને શંકા છે કે આ ગાંજા નો જથ્થો થાઇલેન્ડ અને મલેશિયાથી આવ્યો હોઈ શકે છે ત્યારે SOG એ એ દિશા માં પણ તપાસ શરુ કર્યું છે ત્યારે આ ગાંજો પકડાતા પોલીસ ને લાગી રહ્યું છે કે અમદાવાદ શહેર માં ધીમે ધીમે હાઈબ્રીડ ગાંજા ની મંગની વધી રહી છે ઉદય રંજન ઝી મીડિયા અમદાવાદ
