पंजाब SDRF खाते में अप्रैल 2025 तक 11,947 करोड़ शेष, केंद्रीय आवंटन पर बहस

In a reply to Congress MP Sukhjinder Randhawa, the MoS Home Affairs replied in the Lok Sabha that the state of Punjab has reported an opening balance of ₹11,947 crore in their SDRF account as on 1st April, 2025. Since the PM visited Punjab during the flood crisis, the issue of funds disbursed to Punjab govt has sparked the controversy.
During the current financial year 2025-26, the State Government of Punjab has been allocated an amount of ₹642.40 crore (₹481.60 crore Central share, ₹160.80 crore State share) under the SDRF. The Central Government released 1st installment of the central share of SDRF amounting to ₹240.80 crore to the State Government on 18.06.2025. Additionally, pursuant to the announcement of the Hon'ble Prime Minister, the 2nd installment of the Central share of SDRF amounting to ₹240.80 crore was also released to the State Government in advance on 10.09.2025. In addition, the State Government of Punjab has reported an opening balance of ₹11947.20 crore in their SDRF account as on April 1, 2025.
