BSF THWARTS MULTIPLE SMUGGLING ATTEMPTS IN PUNJAB; RECOVERS HEROIN, ROUNDS AND DRONE In a series of successful operations against cross-border smuggling, BSF troops foiled multiple drone-based smuggling attempts in Tarn Taran and Amritsar districts. a) During the wee hours, BSF troops detected a suspicious movement near village Naushera Dhalla, Tarn Taran and apprehended a couple hiding in a paddy field and recovered 05 magazines of pistol, 08 live rounds, 01 scooty and 01 mobile phone from their possession. Both husband-wife are residents of village Bhojian, Tarn Taran. b) In a morning hour search, BSF recovered 01 packet of heroin (Gross weight- 550 grams) and a bike near village Burj, Tarn Taran. c) Later, based on specific intelligence, the troops recovered 01 DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone from a farming field near village Bagrian in Amritsar. d) In a search operation subsequent to suspected drone movement, BSF troops recovered 02 packets of heroin (Gross weight- 2.245 kg) near village Bhaini of Amritsar. 2.
