SSOC SAS NAGAR ARRESTS TERRORIST SHAHZAD BHATTI’S ASSOCIATE RAMAN KUMAR alias Golu, resident of Gangyal, Jammu. ONE PISTOL .30 BORE RECOVERED: ACCUSED LINKED TO AMBALA BLAST. State Special Operation Cell, SAS Nagar has arrested a prime associate of Pakistan-based terrorist Shahzad Bhatti, identified as Raman Kumar alias Golu. FIR No. 13 dated 10.12.2025 U/s 25(1) Arms Act, 113(1), 61(2) BNS PS SSOC SAS NAGAR. After obtaining production warrant, the accused was brought to Punjab from Ambala Jail and produced before the concerned District Court. During investigation on 23.01.2026, .30 bore pistol has been recovered from him on the basis of his disclosures. The accused had been in contact with terrorist Shahzad Bhatti for a long period and was working on his directions. During interrogation accused Raman Kumar Golu revealed that he runs a meat shop in Gangyal, Jammu and was involved in local rivalries. He further revealed that he initially came into contact with Pakistan-based terrorist Shahzad Bhatti through Instagram and thereafter remained in continuous touch with him. He further disclosed that Shahzad Bhatti had provided the said pistol to him through his operative and the target details were yet to be shared with him. Acting on the confession of the accused, a team of SSOC Mohali successfully recovered the .30 bore pistol. Raman Kumar Golu was arrested by Ambala Police about a week ago in connection with a blast case at a Police Station in Ambala that was carried out on the directions of Shahzad Bhatti, in which the accused provided financial assistance to the perpetrators at Bhatti’s behest. With the arrest of Raman Kumar Golu, a key link in the network of Pakistan-based terrorist Shahzad Bhatti has been neutralized, dealing a significant blow to the cross-border terror module operating in the region. The arrest has dented the operational and logistical network of Pakistan-based terrorists, including Shahzad Bhatti, in Punjab. Further investigation is underway to identify, trace, and dismantle the remaining modules, associates, and support systems of Pakistan-based terrorist organizations, and to completely destroy their network in Punjab.
