Partner in Digital Vision Pharma, Kala Amb Arrested by NCB Chandigarh: Chandigarh, November 3, 2025: Anuj Kumar Singh, aged about 42 years, resident of Roorkee, Haridwar, Uttarakhand has been arrested at Chandigarh by NCB Chandigarh Zonal Unit on 01.11.25 after detailed questioning. Anuj Kumar Singh was evading NCB summons since 14th August 2025. Investigation done by NCB, since registration of case under NDPS Act 1985 in February 2025, has revealed the role of M/s Digital Vision, Himachal Pradesh, besides two other manufacturers of Uttarakhand, in the illegal manufacture and diversion of Psychotropic Tablets & Codeine Based Cough Syrup Bottles to non-existent firms across Punjab, Rajasthan, and West Bengal. Till date 15 persons including Anuj Kumar Singh have been arrested in the extant case. Anuj Kumar Singh is a partner in M/s Digital Vision Pharma, Kala Amb (Himachal Pradesh), a pharmaceutical firm earlier named in an FIR 21/2020 PS Kala Amb, Himachal Pradesh after 12 cases of infant mortality in Jammu & Kashmir were linked to adulterated cough syrup “Cold Best–PC” manufactured by Digital Vision. During the year 2020 , the accused was working the capacity of GM in M/s Digital Vision and later in 2022 became an active partner in M/s Digital Vision and related concerns. He is also named in FIR 33/22 PS Ram Nagar , UT of Jammu Kashmir. It is pertinent to mention that in the instant case NCB has seized 21.88 lakhs Psychotropic tablets,10.57 Lakhs CBCS bottles, Psychotropic Raw Material weighing 1002 kgs . This case is part of the NCB operation continuing for the past 11 months across 7 states, seizing drugs more than ₹547 crore. The arrest of Anuj Kumar Singh marks a major breakthrough in exposing the nexus between pharmaceutical manufacturing units and the illicit diversion network of psychotropic substances. Anuj Kumar Singh was produced before Special NDPS Court Amritsar, Punjab on 02.11.25 and 5 days NCB remand has been obtained. Further investigation is underway.
