Andhra Pradesh: The brutal murder of a seven-year-old girl who had gone missing in Madanapalle has created widespread shock and outrage. The case took a tragic turn after the body of the minor girl, Rishika Priya(7), who went missing on Monday, was identified on Tuesday. According to police sources, Rishika Priya (07), a resident of Neerugattuvaaripalli, Katlatapalli Road area, had been missing since Monday. Following a complaint filed by her family members, police registered a case and began an investigation based on CCTV footage. During the course of the investigation, police searched the house of suspect Kulavardhan, where the girl’s body was found concealed inside a drum. Preliminary investigation indicates that the accused allegedly murdered the child and hid the body inside the drum. The incident led to heavy tension in the area as locals gathered in large numbers outside the suspect’s house. Under the directions of District SP Dheeraj Konipelli, a special investigation team was formed. The probe is being carried out under the supervision of DSP Mahendra and CI Mohammed Rafi. Meanwhile, in a dramatic development, the body of Kulavardhan, who was suspected in the murder case, was found in a lake near Angallu in Kurabalakota mandal of Tirupati district. Police rushed to the spot after receiving information about an unidentified body floating in the Kanasaanipalli lake near Mudivedu, Kanasaanipalli area. Upon examination, the deceased was identified as Kulavardhan. Police have shifted the body to Madanapalle and are continuing further investigation. Authorities are probing whether the suspect died by suicide or if there are other circumstances behind his death.
