Information about recovery of Cash Rs. 34,500/- by Watch Section, D.D. Ref.- Muchipara P.S/D.D, Case No.- 34, dated 15.02.2026, U/S 303 (2) BNS. Brief fact of the case is that on 23.01.26 at about 04.30 hrs unknown accused persons committed theft in respect of Cash Rs. 40,000/- from the trouser pocket of the complainant while the complainant was traveling by bus from Howrah Bus Stand to and Sealdah. During investigation of the case, sources were contacted and acting upon credible source information the following accused person was arrested by Watch Section, D.D on 23.02.26 for having his direct involvement into the case. Details of the accused person- 1.Md. Tousif (28), S/O- Lt. Md. Kayum, Of Mallickpur, Near Salia Mosque, P.S- Baruipur, 24 Pgs (S) and also of Kasai Basti Lane, P.S- Narkeldanga, Kolkata- 11. He was closely interrogated and pursuant to his statement Cash Rs. 34,500/- (Rs. Thirty Four Thousand and Five Hundred) was recovered and seized from him being the subject matter of the case. The accused person will be produced before the Ld. Court on 02.03.2026 on remand. Investigation of the case is on progress.
