In a major breakthrough, State Special Operation Cell (SSOC) Amritsar, in a joint operation with Counter Intelligence Pathankot, busts a gangster module by arresting three operatives and recovers two 30-bore Star-mark pistols along with 15 live cartridges from their possession. Preliminary investigation reveals that the arrested accused are acting on the directions of Armenia-based wanted Gangster Raja Haruwal, who arranges the delivery of the recovered weapons. The module transports weapons and money and conducts recce of multiple targets for extortion. All three carry a criminal background with cases registered across Batala, Gurdaspur and Amritsar related to abduction, attempt to murder, and possession of illegal weapons.
