Srinagar: Senior BJP leader Abhijeet Jasrotia today strongly criticised Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and his government, holding them responsible for what he called the ongoing age-relaxation fiasco that has left thousands of aspirants in deep uncertainty. Jasrotia said the issues surrounding age relaxation did not emerge overnight but were the direct outcome of negligence and flawed policy decisions taken during the Omar Abdullah–led government. He alleged that those leaders whose own children have “secured their future with guaranteed family jobs” never cared about the aspirations of common youth struggling for a fair chance in government recruitment. Jasrotia added that the affected candidates, especially those from backward and marginalised sections, have been suffering for years due to unclear recruitment policies and shifting age criteria. He urged the current administration to take immediate corrective steps and bring clarity to the recruitment process. He further appealed to the Lt Governor–led government to ensure that no deserving aspirant loses opportunity because of past administrative lapses.
