The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) unit Ganderbal on friday celebrated the victory of the party’s candidate in the Budgam bypoll elections. PDP workers expressed joy over the win, calling it a “victory of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.” They said that the voters have given a strong reply to the National Conference by casting their vote in favour of the PDP. The workers alleged that the National Conference has been making “fake promises” for years, and the bypoll result reflects people’s dissatisfaction with the party. They added that the outcome shows growing public trust in the PDP’s approach and leadership.
