Doorstep Passport Services in Kishtwar: Three-Day Mobile Passport Van Service Camp Launched. Regional Passport Office Jammu, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, in collaboration with the District Administration Kishtwar, launched a three-day Mobile Passport Van Service Camp at the DC Office Complex. The camp is under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma. Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pawan Kotwal, formally inaugurated the camp in the presence of Sunil K. Khar, Section Officer, MEA, and other officers. Residents have booked appointments through passportindia.gov.in, and slots have been allocated. The Mobile Passport Van will remain stationed at the DC Office Complex from December 09 to December 11, 2025. The Deputy Commissioner appreciated the initiative by RPO Jammu led by Rajesh Kumar for extending this service to Kishtwar residents and urged people to utilize it. The ADC Kishtwar expressed gratitude to RPO Jammu and the Ministry of External Affairs for organizing the camp and promoting citizen-centric governance and doorstep service delivery. According to the Section Officer, RPO Jammu, similar camps will be organized in other districts of Jammu Province in the coming months to extend passport services to residents in remote regions. The Mobile Passport Van is equipped for biometric enrolment and on-site document verification, enhancing accessibility and efficiency for applicants in remote and inaccessible areas.
