DGP Punjab Police DGPPunjabPolice In a major breakthrough, State Special Operation Cell (#SSOC) Amritsar, in a joint operation with Counter Intelligence Pathankot, busts a gangster module by arresting three operatives and recovers two 30-bore Star-mark pistols along with 15 live cartridges from their possession. Preliminary investigation reveals that the arrested accused are acting on the directions of Armenia-based wanted Gangster Raja Haruwal, who arranges the delivery of the recovered weapons. The module transports weapons and money and conducts recce of multiple targets for extortion. All three carry a criminal background with cases registered across Batala, Gurdaspur and Amritsar related to abduction, attempt to murder, and possession of illegal weapons. FIR registered at PS SSOC, Amritsar. Further investigation is underway to identify forward and backward linkages and dismantle the entire network.
