The Enforcement Directorate will auction the seized aircraft, which was purchased after defrauding investors of Rs 792 crore.... Anchor :- The Enforcement Directorate (ED), Hyderabad regional office, has initiated the process to auction an aircraft. The auction will be conducted through MSTC Limited. The aircraft is parked at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad. The auction will take place on December 9. The ED had seized the aircraft during a search operation from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on 07.03.2025 under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 in a case against Amardeep Kumar, Capital Protection Force Pvt Ltd and others. According to the investigating agency, the seized aircraft (Hawker 800A; registration number N935H) is to be auctioned. The proceeds from the sale of the aircraft will ultimately be used to compensate victims of the scam. The ED had seized the aircraft during a search operation at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on 07.03.2025 under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002 in a case against Amardeep Kumar, Capital Protection Force Private Limited and others. The ED had initiated investigation in the said case on the basis of FIR Nos. 10/2025, 11/2025 and 12/2025 dated 11.02.2025. The Economic Offences Wing, Cyberabad, has registered a case against Falcon Group (Capital Protection Force Private Limited), its CMD Amardeep Kumar, and others for defrauding investors through a fraudulent invoice discounting scheme. The ED investigation revealed that Amardeep Kumar launched an invoice discounting scheme under the name and style of 'Falcon Invoice Discounting' and defrauded naive investors of ₹792 crore of their hard-earned money. During the investigation, it was revealed that Amardeep Kumar had fled the country on the same flight before the FIR was registered. Currently, the accused, Amardeep Kumar, is absconding abroad. During the investigation, the ED provisionally attached assets worth ₹18.63 crore in this case. Three accused were also arrested, including Amardeep Kumar's brother Sandeep Kumar, chartered accountant Sharad Chandra Toshniwal, and COO of Capital Protection Force Private Limited, Aryan Singh Chhabra. A prosecution complaint was also filed by the ED before the Special PMLA Court, Rangareddy, on 29.09.2025. The ED's investigation revealed that Amardeep Kumar purchased the suspect aircraft in 2024 for US$1.6 million. Following the seizure of the aircraft, the ED filed an original application before the Chief Justice of India, PMLA, and it was confirmed by an order dated 18.08.2025. Subsequently, the ED filed an application before the Chief Justice of India, PMLA, under Rule 4(2) of the Prevention of Money Laundering (Taking Possession of Attached or Confiscated Properties) Act, 2005, which was confirmed by the Tribunal. The Authority has followed the PMLA Rules, 2013, to grant permission to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to sell the seized aircraft. According to the said Rule, if the seized property is in a state of rapid and natural decay or the cost of its maintenance is likely to exceed its value, it can be sold. The Adjudicating Authority of the PMLA, vide order dated 20.11.2025, granted permission to the Enforcement Directorate, Hyderabad Regional Office, to auction the seized aircraft. Further investigation in the matter is ongoing.
